This is normal, reassuring and useful, but unfortunately not enough in the long term to fully integrate in France. 

If you want to achieve this goal, you need active daily contact with the CURRENT LANGUAGE of France (listening to, reading, writing and speaking in French)! 

Step out of your comfort zone a little each day and you'll soon see some very encouraging results!

My speciality is cultural and language immersion and I have many years' experience in helping adults learn French. You'll be amazed at how quickly you'll progress with a tailor-made programme, in an informal and relaxed way, speaking and interacting not in a classroom, but outside in real-life situations.
